Returning for its third annual campaign, "Better Than Tax Free" offered additional savings on back-to-school fashion, accessories and seasonal must-haves. From Friday, August 5th to Sunday, August 7th, Simon partnered with participating retailers for a successful weekend at Carolina Premium Outlets, Charlotte Premium Outlets, Concord Mills and first-timer SouthPark, making the promotion a state-wide affair at Simon shopping destinations, where over 35 million media impressions were received, summing up to approximately $175,000.00 in publicity value for the promotion.
Coupled with the sale event was a Back-to-School Fashion Show as well as a Backpack Drive, both held at Carolina Premium Outlets. On Saturday, August 6th, models from the Boys and Girls Club of Selma showcased the season’s hottest trends from retailers including GAP Factory Store, Wilsons Leather, Skechers and Hot Topic. Charitable guests were able to donate backpacks and school supplies to benefit the Mom & Pop Green Org. throughout the entire weekend.
