Aurora, IL (June 2016)-- The flurry of new retailer activity shows no sign of slowing at Chicago Premium Outlets, following last August's multi-million-dollar expansion that increased the footprint of the popular Simon outlet center by more than half. Today, at a grand re-opening celebration heralding the completion of a comprehensive renovation of the pre-expansion section of the 170-store center, Simon officials announced a slew of high-profile retailers slated to open new stores at Chicago Premium Outlets before year-end.
Among the newcomers scheduled to open this month are Versace, Forever 21 and performance shoe standout Salomon. On the horizon for third quarter are the openings of Victoria's Secret and its popular offshoot Pink, Restoration Hardware, shoemaker Geox Breathes, Steve Madden, Land's End, high-end children's apparel brand Hanna Andersson and Bath & Body Works, targeted to open in November.
"Chicago Premium Outlets is not only the largest and most successful outlet center in theChicago market, it is also quickly becoming a crown jewel of our global portfolio, offering unparalleled value and selection for local shoppers, regional bargain-hunters and international tourists alike," said Danielle De Vita, Executive Vice President of Real Estate for Simon Premium Outlets.
"Having a world-class shopping center in our backyard is a strong driver for economic development throughout the City of Aurora," said Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner, who in tandem with the city's 'Seize the Future' initiative has been a strong proponent of the Chicago Premium Outlets expansion.
The largest outdoor shopping center in the area, the recently renovated Chicago Premium Outlets is a 688,000-sq.-ft. showplace with dynamic amenities, including an expansive feature pond, fire places, and one-of-a-kind art installations. A top destination for unsurpassed savings on popular brands including Adidas, Coach, Cole Haan, Gap Factory Store, Levi's Outlet Store, Michael Kors, Nike Factory Store, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Under Armour and Vera Bradley, for more than 10 years, the August 2015 expansion of Chicago Premium Outlets paved the way for high-profile newcomers including anchor Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Abercrombie & Fitch Outlet, Columbia Sportswear, Movado Company Store, Old Navy Outlet, Sperry Top-Sider, Tommy Hilfiger Kids, UGG Australia, Vince, and the first Midwest outlets for German luxury coat maker Wellensteyn, eclectic lifestyle designer Robert Graham, high-performance outfitter Arc'teryx, and Clarins luxury skincare.
