On April 1st, 2016 Vera Bradley opened doors at Simon's Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL.

Festivities included a VIP event held on the eve of their opening, as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony the following morning immediately preceding the official launching of their Woodfield Mall location.

There was a line to enter the new store on Friday and Vera Bradley's National Director commented that she was blown away by the response.

Store sales were also impressive, with sales surpassing the original goal for opening day by 80 percent.

The mall's local marketing team, led by Heather Lloyd, Director of Marketing and Business Development, worked tirelessly alongside National Retailer Marketing Director (and Simon's corporate liaison to Vera Bradley), Shaneika Haskins, to execute multiple on-mall and online advertising channels to drive brand awareness and store traffic for this exciting event.
